Republican Wins Special Election in Arizona’s 8th

Debbie Lesko, the Arizona state senator running for Congress won Tuesday’s special election in the 8th Congressional District. Lesko defeated Democrat Hiral Tirneni by about 5 percentage points or by a margin of about 9,000 votes.

The deep red district was an easy win in 2016 for President Trump, who won the district by a margin of about 20 percentage points. What does this closer margin mean for Republicans as they head into the November midterms this fall?
