It was a busy week in Washington as Congress passed a funding bill to keep the government open, and two more Democrats officially launched their presidential campaigns. On the Senate front, a high-profile candidate announced he was running for the Arizona seat currently held by Sen. Martha McSally and several other Democrats met with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer about the possibility of running in other states. There was lots of movement on the House side, with perhaps the biggest news impacting 2020 being the passing of Rep. Walter Jones in North Carolina.
