Race Rundown: 09-28-18

September 28, 2018

While the nation turned its focus to a small committee room in the U.S. Capitol this week, polling outlets released new data on House and Senate races in close races across the country while candidates, committees, and PACs released new ads that will help shape the outcome of the 2018 midterms.

On the Senate side, it’s a three-point race in critical Senate races in Arizona, Florida, and Indiana. Meanwhile, the first Senate debate in Tennessee took place this week between Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and former Gov. Phil Bredesen (D-TN).

On the House front, Republicans in CA-21 and CA-50 are leading their Democrat rivals, one Democrat running to replace retiring Rep. Tom Rooney (R-FL) has died, and Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA) debated her Democrat rival, Jennifer Wexton, in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.
