Race Rundown: 03-23-18

March 23, 2018

In this week’s Race Rundown, the governor of Mississippi picked a replacement for retiring Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), more ad dollars are being spent against Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), and polls show tight races in Florida, Nevada, and Tennessee Senate contests.

On the House side, Democrat Conor Lamb, who just won a special election last week in PA-18 announced he would file to run in PA-17 due to the changing congressional map in the Keystone State. Meanwhile in Ohio, Democrats are convinced they can recreate Lamb’s success in OH-12, the central Ohio district long held by former Rep. Pat Tiberi. And in Nevada, one candidate received the endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden.
